Your Team

Our Conveyancing Department is made up from a broad range of experienced personnel, from qualified solicitors to trainee Licensed Conveyancers and Paralegals.

Your case will be dealt with by a single, dedicated and experienced Fee Earner who will be assisted by one or two specified Conveyancing Assistants.

You will deal with the same Fee Earner and assistants throughout the transaction to ensure a smoother transaction for you.

The Conveyancing Assistants have knowledge of conveyancing and will be able to provide you with updates as to your transaction as well as guide you through the process from beginning to end dealing with all aspects of the transaction from initial ID requirements through to discussing Exchange and Completion dates.

Your Fee Earner is the driving force behind your transaction and has ultimate responsibility for ensuring that the transaction completes in accordance with your instructions. The Fee Earner will also deal with the more technical aspects of your transaction such as any enquiries which may need to be raised or answered and advising you on these as well as any title issues affecting your transaction.

Upon instruction, we will advise you who your Fee Earner and Conveyancing Assistants will be.

How Long Will It Take?

It can be impossible to predict exactly how long a conveyancing transaction can take due to the complexities of the case and title. In many cases, a conveyancing transaction can take 4 – 12 weeks to complete.

Insurance

We have a legal duty to tell you about our professional indemnity insurance. We have an obligation to carry such insurance. Our qualifying insurers are:

Our insurance policy number is LI1834787. The insurance covers our practice, carried on from our offices in England and Wales, and will extend to acts or omissions wherever in the world they occur.

 

Compensation Funds

One of the advantages to you of using a Licensed Conveyancer is that you can be confident that your interests will be protected by the profession’s strict regulations, insurance and compensation arrangements.  The effect of this is that if you should make a valid claim against us for loss arising out of work for which we are legally responsible, and we are unable to meet our liability in full, you may be entitled to claim from the compensation fund administered by The Council for Licensed Conveyancers (from which details can be obtained).
